Can I change the timer during a countdown?
Yes. Pick another preset or edit the duration. While a countdown is running, the page asks before it replaces the current timer, so a stray tap cannot reset the class timer.
Does sound have to be on?
No. The classroom timer starts with sound off, and Time’s up still appears on screen at zero. Turn Sound on if you want a bell or chime, and press Test sound before the lesson.
Can I use this on an interactive whiteboard?
The classroom timer runs in a web browser, so a board or classroom computer with an up-to-date browser can open it. Press Full screen for the largest view. Test it on your own board before a lesson.
Does it work on tablets and Chromebooks?
It runs in current browsers on phones, tablets and laptops, including Chrome on Chromebooks, and the layout adapts to the screen size. Features such as Keep screen awake depend on the browser.
Can I keep the screen on during the timer?
Turn on Keep screen awake. Where the browser supports it, the display stays on while the countdown runs and the page is visible. If the browser releases the request, the page tells you.
